Taku Kambayashi, MD, PhD is an associate professor at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a physician scientist with clinical expertise in transfusion medicine/cellular therapies and basic science expertise in the field of immunology. His lab focuses on targetable signal transduction pathways to alter immune cells in disease states. Most recently, his lab has discovered that TSLP signaling in T cells promotes adipose loss by promoting skin secretion of lipids in the form of sebum. The overarching goal of his lab is to translate basic science discovery findings to the bedside.
